Our mission at East Side Elementary is to provide a safe, respectful school environment where students are encouraged to celebrate diversity, maximize student strengths, and pursue the highest levels of learning for optimal success. East Side Elementary is home to 690 students from PK - 4th grade. The East Side family has high expectations academically and behaviorally for each individual and is committed to services for all students. The programs and special services offered include G/T, ESL, one-way dual language, special education, reading & math interventions, reading & math inclusion, speech, R.E.A.D. (dyslexia program), Accelerated Reader, computer, music, and physical education. East Side is also home to a wonderful Parent-Teacher Organization. East Side is committed to creating a school climate that is safe and welcoming. We are proud to be a TEA Recognized campus and are dedicated to the challenge of rising to an Exemplary status for the 2009-2010 school year.

La primaria East Side es una escuela de 690 estudiantes en grados PK - 4to. La familia East Side tiene altas expectativas académicas y de comportamiento para todos los individuos y se compromete a dar servicios educativos a todos los estudiantes. Los programas y servicios especiales ofrecidos incluyen el programa de superdotados, inglés como segundo idioma, doble idioma de dirección única, educación especial, intervenciones de lectura y matemáticas, inclusión de lectura y matemáticas, lenguaje, programa de dislexia, computación, música y educación física. Además nuestra escuela es el sitio de una maravillosa organización de padres y maestros.
East Side se compromete a crear un ambiente seguro y acogedor. Estamos orgulloso de ser una escuela "TEA Recognized" (Reconocida por la Agencia Educativa de Texas) y estamos entregados a aceptar el reto de ser una escuela "Exemplary" (Ejemplar) durante el año 2009-2010.

Pizza Night East Side Elementary Fathers & father-figures of EAST SIDE ELEMENTARY Fathers and father-figures are invited to sign up to spend one or more days this year volunteering at East Side, serving as a positive male role model and helping increase academic awareness and the sense of security on campus. Mentoring and monitoring are always needed in our schools. Dads, big brothers, uncles, grandpas, and community leaders are welcome to come be a part of the safety and academic success of our Great Students at East Side.
