![]() Mission Statement The mission of Jacksonville High School is to create a supportive community of learners that will meet the academic, emotional, social, and physical needs of high school students in a safe and orderly environment. General Information Currently there are 1090 students attending Jacksonville High School. Over 200 academic and vocational courses are offered. Students may earn college credit in some courses through dual enrollment and through AP exams. AP courses are available in English, Algebra, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, Biology, Chemistry, United States History, American Government, and Economics. A well-rounded athletic program permits competition in individual and team sports. The Career and Technology Education program provides many opportunities for students to graduate with skills in computers, marketing, agricultural, human development, industrial engineering, and personal and protective service careers. |

Don't forget if you are interested in taking the Drivers Ed Training class may now pick up the information in the front office with Mrs. Brown. 2. NHS will meet at 7:15 a.m. tomorrow morning in the library. 3. The Jacksonville Garden Club is offering a $1,000 scholarship to one lucky senior this year. Hurry in for an application from Mrs. Weeks! Seniors - have you applied to a college for fall yet? Have you had Mrs. Weeks send your transcript in yet? 4. Seniors you still have time to sign up for the blood drive. Underclassmen will begin to sign up Monday, Feb. 15th, so reserve your time now.
Seniors, this Thursday, Feb. 11th at 6:00 pm, we will have financial aide advisors from TJC available in the Plato lab to assist you and your parent with completed the FAFSA. Remember to have your parents bring this years income tax information and your social security number with them. 5. The theme for this year's semiformal is Viva Las Vegas ! It will be February 20th in the JHS Cafeteria from 8pm-11pm . The admission is $7. JHS students will need to present their student id at the door. Any date who is not a JHS student must be of high school age and under age 21. A picture id is required. Pictures will be available by Snaps Photography.
